Some pictures from the seventh firing, Nov. 27, 2005. Heavy rain most of the day and all night. I lit the fire at 6AM. Cone 9 melted at 7PM, and I reduced for the glaze. A loud blast and heavy boom knocked us all for a loop. Investigation via flashlight indicated the terra cotta pipe exploded and the metal pipe it held fell over on the roof- Fire expert Larry made the decision that it was still safe to continue. Cone 10 melted over at around 7:30PM, our fastest firing yet!
