THE CLONE TOOL
The clone tool paints one area over another.
You can clone within one picture, from picture to picture or from picture to blank page.
For practice and fun, clone a picture (or more than one!) or part of one to a blank page.

Set the flow, click on airbrush in option bar, and aligned. If aligned is not checked, the image will repeat itself each time.
THE HEALING BRUSH differs from the clone tool in that it copies color to the target area. See pages 137-138
The healing brush samples the source area’s texture to the target area and then matches it to the target area’s surrounding color and brightness. To lessen the effect you can go to
Edit>fade healing brush.
1. Choose the healing brush tool (Band-Aid)
2. Choose a brush, and check sampled as the source in the options bar
3. Check aligned in the options bar
4. Alt-click or option-click the area that will be used as the source.
5. Paint over the area you wish to repair.
THE PATCH TOOL is great for repairing torn pictures.
1. Click source on the options bar
2. Drag the mouse around the area that needs repair
3. Drag from inside the selection to the area you want to use as the source and
release the mouse button.
