CLIPPING

WITH VECTOR SHAPES:

To create the above, draw a vector shape on the bottom

layer. paste a picture on the second layer. Place your cursor

on the line between the vector shape layer and the picture layer,  Alt-click.

COMBINE TWO PICTURES:

OPEN A FILE, paste another picture on top. Add a gradient adjustment layer                

above the first layer, then alt-click.

CLIPPED TYPE:

MAKE SURE TYPE IS ON THE LAYER UNDER A PICTURE

Join an altered picture to the original

In this picture, I duplicated the background layer, changed the hue, applied gradient adjustment layer, and clipped.
