EXERCISE: ADD TYPE AND A FEW SHAPES TO A PICTURE USING A COLOR FROM THE PICTURE.

 

RECOLOR

 

ADD A STROKE TO A SELECTION:

ADD A STROKE TO A LAYER:

 

EXERCISE:   Type on a picture, double click the layer and choose stroke.

 

REPLACE COLORS

            Choose a layer

            Make a selection

            Image>adjust>replace color

EXERCISE: Replace colors in a picture using the “Replace color” method

 

CONVERT A PICTURE OR SELECTION TO GRAYSCALE:

            Choose a layer or make a selection

            Image>adjust>desaturate

USE THE SPONGE TOOL TO (DE)SATURATE:

EXERCISE: use the sponge tool to saturate an important area of a picture and desaturate the rest of the picture

 

PAINTING SHADES OF GRAY TO HEIGHTEN COLOR:

            Add a layer to a picture and fill with black

            Change the layer mode to color dodge

            Choose Grayscale slider from the Color palette

            Paint with a 60-80 percent gray

            Change the layer mode to Color Burn
